Reiki Energy Healing

Reiki is a type of energy healing that was initially developed in Japan. It deals with energy in the body and the proper flow and current of that energy. When the body is injured or experiencing chronic pain, the energy is said to be off.

Reiki healing draws energy into the body and encourages the energy to flow, promoting health and healing. These sessions with a Reiki energy healer can be done with a "hands-on" approach where the practitioner touches the person as they do their healing. It can also be done with the hands hovering over the body if this is more comfortable for you.

Chiropractic Services

Chiropractic services are another way to go for back pain. When you are feeling chronic back pain, a chiropractor can be your best friend. They focus on helping to heal misalignments in the spinal column that can occur over time. The chiropractor will adjust the spine so that the vertebrae are properly aligned. This can reduce pain and allows the nervous system to function better.

Chiropractors are also often holistic practitioners and will show you exercises and stretches to do at home to promote proper spinal alignment and to reduce pain and tension in the back. That way, you can work on your spine yourself in between chiropractic sessions.

Mental Health Counseling

Believe it or not, mental health counseling can be a highly beneficial way to manage back pain. Your mental health counselor will help you to think differently about your pain and learn mental coping mechanisms to deal with your pain. Some therapists and counselors even do hypnotherapy which can also help. The idea is to get the mind in line with the situation and to learn to think in different ways that are more healthy and give you a better perspective of your situation.

Knowing these ways to better manage your back pain, you can be sure you give one or all three of these methods a try as soon as possible.

It made me feel really great about working with him, and within a few treatments my back was feeling a lot better.
